Partner Universities
The two-year Masters Course builds on the expertise of five European universities:
- University of Copenhagen (Denmark)
- Bangor University (UK)
- University of Göttingen (Germany)
- Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp (Sweden)
- University of Padova (Italy)
Associate partners
The Consortium has four associate partners, selected for their expertise and academic excellence in Forest and Nature Management. These are:
Stellenbosch University in South Africa; Universidad Austral de Chile in Chile; University of British Colombia in Canada; and University of Queensland in Australia.
The associate partners contribute to the SUFONAMA programme through hosting of MSc thesis students.
The staff
The core staff consists of internationally recognised specialists. In total, more than 50 faculty members participate in the SUFONAMA Programme.
Apart from the permanent staff, the European Commission annually supports a number of international scholars within the field of sustainable forest and nature management. The international scholars join the SUFONAMA Programme in order to lecture, supervise and/or participate in the Joint Summer School.
